Amazon Go Grocery: Amazon's first large, cashierless supermarket

In Seattle, the e-commerce giant is launching its first large supermarket without a checkout. After various setbacks in preceding Amazon Go test phases, Amazon has finally succeeded in opening a 960 m² stationary store offering around 5,000 products - including, for the first time, individual, unpackaged fruits and vegetables. Upon entering the store, shoppers log in with their Amazon accounts via scan. Products can then be easily removed from the shelves and stowed in a private, or in a shopping bag available on site. The removed products are recognized by an AI system based on countless sensors and cameras and simultaneously placed in the digital Amazon shopping cart. When leaving the store, there is nothing to pay attention to - no unpacking the goods again, no queue, no cashiers. Sensors and cameras confirm the purchase of the products at the moment of leaving the supermarket.
