Update: Prime

Day 2020 -

new start date

leaked!

Amazon Prime Day, which was actually planned for July, has (presumably) a new date. After the annual event was postponed several times due to the Corona crisis, it seems that the wait is finally over. According to The Verge, an internal email has surfaced confirming that Prime Day will take place on October 13 and 14. An official announcement from Amazon is planned for September 27.

More clues pointing to a Prime Day in mid-October:

In a separate email, Amazon reportedly told its warehouse employees that any vacation requests will not be accepted from Oct. 13 to Oct. 20. This indicates that any support is probably needed during this time.

Last week, Braun, the electronics company, caused a stir with an advertising poster. It advertised Prime Day deals that would be available in mid-October. The poster has since been removed from all websites. In this context, Amazon only confirmed that Prime Day will take place in the fourth quarter this year.

It should thus be clear that Prime Day has to take place in the foreseeable future, otherwise Amazon runs the risk of depriving itself of its sales opportunities. The early deals of this year's Black Friday are supposed to start around October 26 and Amazon will of course want to prevent Black Friday and Prime Day from overlapping in any way.
